If your first visit might include a peeling chemical peel, like a glycolic chemical peel, a little prep helps you get better results with less irritation. We generally recommend a simple approach for the 48 to 72 hours before you come in.

• Pause strong actives: Skip retinol/retinoids and at-home exfoliating acids for 48 to 72 hours. If you’re unsure what counts, bring the product names or a quick photo of the labels.

• Come with clean skin if you can: No heavy makeup is ideal. If you’re coming straight from work or errands, don’t stress. We’ll cleanse thoroughly either way.

Your monthly Glow Membership treatment includes deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extractions if needed, deep hydration with enzymes, custom mask therapy, LED light treatment, and neck, shoulder, and scalp massage. If your skin is a good candidate and you want that extra smoothing and brightness, some appointments can include dermaplaning or a light chemical peel.

2) The facial itself, what you’ll feel

We start with a thorough cleanse. Then we move into exfoliation. If we do a chemical peel, it’s usually described as a warm tingle or light sting that passes quickly. You’re not expected to “tough it out.” Let us know if something feels too spicy, and we’ll adjust. Extractions, if we do them, can feel like pressure.
